Saw some previews of the Road and it looked a little too bleak and dark. What say Freepers? Worth watching?

Quite literally the most pointless movie I've ever seen. I wouldn't waste your time.

It was very bleak! I did like it but it made me sad after watching. In fact, several other apocalyptic movies have made me sad after watching: Children of Men, I am Legend. I did, however, enjoy Knowing.

The book is a masterpiece but, wow, is it depressing. I can't bring myself to watch the movie.

The book "No Country for Old Men" was far better than the movie. The movie just did not capture the central thesis-how bad things really are for a guy as tough, proud and patriotic as the sheriff to quit.
