Now, all those other businesses, in all those other industries know that Obama can ruin them if he wants to. He doesn't need a reason. He can just wave his wand and make them go through hell.
Saaaaaaaaaaay, why are businesses holding back on hiring? What? Are they nervous about the future????
Not to excuse any of this but I can tell you that happened to me just the other day. I was driving my 2004 Scienna ( which I love by the way) and as I was going down a hill and coming to a stop sign, I couldn’t find the brake. I finally did and it amazed me the air bag didn’t pop out. The cause, in my opinion, was I was wearing a different kind of shoe with a thicker sole ( a new running shoe) and that has not happened since.
Also I drive my hubby’s truck more than my van and the breaks are a bit different so one has to keep that in mind when driving a different vehicle.
I had my first Toyota in Okinawa..a 1968 two cylinder air cooled engine..looked like the old VW Rabbit a little..it made it up the hills and started in the rain..it had 68,000 klicks..loved it. I have had Toyotas ever since..I’m stickin’ with em.
All of us with brains on this forum were saying that this was all BS when it was happening. It was clear that the government was trying to make trouble for a competitor, which is just one more reason to keep government out of business.
It’s a disgrace that spineless businessmen and manufacturers prostrate themselves before the like of Henry Waxman rather than stand up for their products. They are limp-wristed weasels who obviously learned their craft from Juan McCain and Mitchie McConnell.
According to this source, the government study has not yet been finished and results are not expected until "as late as next year".
From the linked article: "The government on Wednesday said it hasn't reached any conclusions about whether Toyota drivers may be to blame for their vehicles suddenly accelerating."
The reports of "driver error" are coming either from "anonymous sources" quoted by the Wall Street Journal, or from the Toyota company, itself. For reasons which should be obvious, Toyota cannot be considered to be unbiased in this situation.
They are doing this same thing about the new iPhone too. Can’t let a good company make the rest look bad, must find a flaw and milk it for all it is worth before admitting you were mistaken.
