Palin weighs in on Journolist
Keach Hagey

Posted on 07/20/2010 2:02:42 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

Sarah Palin has thrown in her two cents about the Daily Caller’s Journolist leaks on her Facebook account. As David Corn noted on his Twitter account, she seems to miss the rather important point that Journolist is expressly a liberal listserv – and especially that most of those quoted in today’s story work for avowedly liberal publications. Still, it’s worth a read. This may all have the result of making Spencer Ackerman wildly famous.

It’s encouraging for commonsense conservatives who are frustrated with media cover-ups and biases to see truth revealed.

Remember the infamous “Journolist” – the listserv chat group of hundreds of “prominent” mainstream media personalities? It seems The Daily Caller obtained copies of the Journolist email exchanges from the 2008 campaign having to do with the media’s coverage of Rev. Jeremiah Wright, then candidate Obama’s pastor of 20 years. It’s everything you may have suspected.

This, in the words of one Journolist member:

“I do not endorse a Popular Front, nor do I think you need to. It’s not necessary to jump to Wright-qua-Wright’s defense. What is necessary is to raise the cost on the right of going after the left. In other words, find a rightwinger’s [sic] and smash it through a plate-glass window. Take a snapshot of the bleeding mess and send it out in a Christmas card to let the right know that it needs to live in a state of constant fear. Obviously I mean this rhetorically.

And I think this threads the needle. If the right forces us all to either defend Wright or tear him down, no matter what we choose, we lose the game they’ve put upon us. Instead, take one of them — Fred Barnes, Karl Rove, who cares — and call them racists. Ask: why do they have such a deep-seated problem with a black politician who unites the country? What lurks behind those problems? This makes *them* sputter with rage, which in turn leads to overreaction and self-destruction.”

That’s just one little excerpt. Read the whole thing here. It’s quite an eye-opener. It really says it all – though more will no doubt be revealed in the future, no doubt covering the lamestream media’s coverage of other issues and people. May the light keep shining!

- Sarah Palin

Geez, these people never quit. Ohh, so it’s okay the things they say because they work for lib publications? It would only be a story if they worked for Conservative publications? They’re not ‘big’ journalists? Niether was the guy who started the Levi/Bristol reality show rumor, but that got around.

This writer is a hack, Palin basher. *snort* *chuckle* “That silly, Sarah Palin.”

So, let him be famous. Who gives a crap?

The one thing he'll never ever be able to call himself again is non-partisan. Or a journalist.

He can be a famous political hack. Like we need another.

These people are the most limp-wristed effeminate weasels ever to slither neath the sun, and they want to make tough statements like putting someone's face through a plate glass window and how the right should live in fear.
I'll tell you what.....if this country has a melt-down I'll cover my house with the skins I peel from their screaming bodies, and I don't mean that rhetorically.

The best way to contradict these efforts is to point out WHY the liberal press is reporting what they do. Once the
motive is revealed they loose their momentum and credibility.

The MSM, who tried with all of their might to degrade, denigrate, make fun of and relentlessly harass and drag down Sarah Palin are now like little kittens waiting for their saucer of warm milk. Eagle lib eyes are constantly focused on Palin’s Facebook and Twitter. As RR might say, “There she goes again.” YES!!!!

At this point I'd settle for more Stossels and Tappers. (Although admittedly my bar has been lowered to include the latter.)

That's a good read, and very true.
Another note from history is that of Lithuania in WWII (where my relatives came from), and it is little known, or at least not acknowledged. First off, let me state that I am not an anti-semite, but am just stating facts.... Before WWII, the liberal intelligensia of Lithuania, being the media, entertainment, universities, etc., pushed very hard to usher in new ideas. Hope and change so to speak. Those people happened to be the jews (they might as well have been Irish....it wouldn't have mattered), and what they helped usher in was communism and then soviet rule. Well, that didn't work out so well....at all. However, when the nazis invaded, the soviets fled. The nazis had their agenda for the jews that was all their own, but the Lithuanians had their own axe to grind with them as well. When the nazis recruited Lithuanians to root out the jews, the Lithuanians lept at the chance to exact retribution against those that had helped usher in brutal soviet rule. They didn't have the same motivation as the nazis, and they couldn't care less whether they were jews or not, they were the people that brought the soviets, the people that helped bring the hope and change. The result was that the nazis facillitated raids by ordering the police out of a town, then the Lithuanian partisans went in and those that weren't shot, were drug into the street and publicly beaten to death with crowbars. This was the payback for bringing hope and change.
Liberals would do well to crack a history book and realize that if the thin veneer of civility slips for even a short while, they can look forward to a similar fate.
