Yup...they love birdseed. They can be a problem if they don’t fear humans.
You’ve given me this wonderful picture of Ursus arctos horribilis strolling the streets of San Francisco, looking for twisted liberals (unarmed of course) for a late night snack...thanks!
I heard one moving through our yard outside our six foot chain link fence Thursday night/Friday morning at 3:00 AM while I was letting one of my dogs out. If my dog had been outside the fence, there would likely have been a fight and while my dog weighs 121 pounds, my money would have been on the bear. We were lucky that time.
Never seen a black bear that wouldn’t prefer to be in a tree than tangling with a dog. That’s why the animal rights wackjobs, with their out-of-state money, getting hound hunting banned in Oregon really pissed me off. Hmmm...a run-on sentence ending in a preposition. What a way to start the day.
That’s good to know. I would hate to lose my dog.
what county in Idaho do you live in?
