My sister in law bought a house in Montana, after she bought it she learned it is right beside a Grizzly Bear Refuge. Guess what, they are not “confined”, they roam around the entire area even her yard.

Your sister in law should probably have an electric fence strung up around her yard.....if its the right kind of fence, they work wonders. A hand cannon or two are also recommended.

Yes I think you are absolutely correct. I think I have suggested that to her but I am afraid it is going to take an incident before she does anything. She is a single woman spending her summers in a house on 13 acres on a creek (with fish in it) next to a grizzly bear preserve. What could possibly go wrong? LOL!

She does have 2 big protective dogs that know when wildlife is around. Maybe she knows the dogs act differently when there are deer in the area or bears or cougars. Yes, a cougar is spotted there occasionally.

I hope she gets a big scare and puts up that fence.
