.......A three way statistical tie exists that could possibly gain the Nerd King his bucket list item number 9. Rick Snyder has been able to pull into a potential win situation along side Mike Cox and Pete Hoekstra, while Bouchard cannot get above 10-12% in any polling. This is a bad thing.
Its a bad thing, because Snyder is NOT who people think he might be.
- Rick Snyder has NOT signed the Grover Norquist Americans for Tax Reform "no new tax pledge." Three have signed it. Mike Cox, Pete Hoekstra, and Mike Bouchard.....Rick Snyder has no interest in signing such pledges. It takes certain actions off the table, and limits his options. Michigan is open to new taxes under Snyder. Likely as a result of expansions of MEDC-like programs that rewards political business associations at a cost to taxpayers. Its called "crony-capitalism," and has served the nerd well for years.
- The King Nerd actively pursues government (THE TAXPAYER'S) dollars to fund his business operations.
...
- Rick Snyder has personally lied to my friends. He has told them to their face, that he is "pro-life". He has told many folks the very same thing, yet the fact remains he has companies that profit from the destruction of human embryos. And you pay him for that service. As pointed out in the bullet point above, he milked the cow that is Michigan for the cream to fund his investment company Ardesta to the tune of $7.5 Million dollars. Ardesta funds research which uses embryos. He donated to the cure michigan's embryonic stem cell initiative in 2008. Some may support that initiative, but to claim one is "pro-life" and then call for the destruction of life is a bald faced lie.

Joe Schwarz has endorsed Snyder and that alone is enough to turn me off. Maybe they can endorse the democrat together when he loses.
I don’t really buy the Snyder momentum. I think its mostly liberals trying to manufacture consensus.
If it’s Dillon/Snyder, I may vote for Dillon. At least he’s pro-life and that issue is my number 1.
We know nothing about Snyder. We have a president we know nothing about so why should we vote for a governor we know nothing about?
I like Bouchard, but I don’t think he can get elected. Cox does have baggage, most of it is B.S. I like him because I understand prosecutors. Hoekstra is good choice but right to life did endorse Cox.
Still between the two.
Pro-Life and stem cell research mean a lot to me both on the personal and national level, but I don’t see where a governor is going to have much, if any impact on these issues in the immediate (4-year) term. I don’t think it is a meaningful litmus test for this primary.
Yet, an ineffective approach to job and wealth creation in the immediate term will clearly leave Michigan like a drunk that can’t stand up. Michigan will replace Cleveland as the butt of jokes for decades to come.
I have personal experience in California with Rick funding one of my companies. That funding allowed us to reach escape velocity in a timely fashion and become a publicly traded company that yielded hundreds of jobs right here in the USA and much appreciated returns for the shareholders.
Unlike most venture capitalists (VC’s), Rick didn’t just focus on a narrow slice of technology like software or invest only in Silicon Valley or Route 128 (Boston). Instead, Rick left California to invest in nanotechnology and MEMS that he felt were the core competencies of the University of Michigan research programs. If Rick didn’t feel strongly about Michigan, he would likely be a billionaire traveling the globe on a mega-yacht and a private jet. Quite the opposite: Rick has been traveling around Michigan on a bus on the rubber chicken circuit.
To my disappointment, I am not a Michigan voter, so don’t worry if you disagree with me. I respect Pete Hoekstra who has been strong on national defense, but that won’t carry the day for job creation in these troubled times.
Too late, the dummies voted in a RINO. Did the Dems cross over and cheat, or was it an anti-incumbent backlash? Who knows.
This is as bad as being stuck with John McCain for Presidential candidate.
Snyder is what happens when there are 4 moderate-conservatives running against one liberal. It was like my district in 2004 when Joe Schwarz won.
