I DO agree. I don’t have a problem w/ turning kids into men thru the military. What I do have a problem with is the government being able to dictate what happens to your kid after HS. And let’s face it. Today’s youth are not like the youth that was 50 years ago. Today’s youth spend most of their time on the internet and at the bookstore listening to their ipods w/ their hipster/emo friends. Most youth don’t even play sports anymore. Liberals constantly tell us we need to shelter our children from competition when competition is what turns you from a child into an adult. I think the military would be a good antidote BUT knowing the laziness and apathy of today’s youth would you really feel secure knowing these kids are your SECURITY and America’s main security? Most of them have been so indoctrinated by liberal teachers and liberal media they’d probably spend more time trying to sabotage the operation by helping the terrorists then making sure America’s enemies are defeated.
If indeed the majority of our youth are nothing but Sad Sacks then Obama won’t really have much of a Youth Corp will he?
How I wish America was so much like Israel, if Obama somehow continues to usurp our nation then all the individual states should start thinking about forming up a militia. I don’t care if its funded by a lottery or toll roads, it needs to be done.
