I tried to explain this to a few of my buddies in the IBEW.
No new coal power plants ===> No jobs for electricians.
After awhile I got tired of banging my head against a brick wall. So many of them still think in terms that it's the Democratic party of Truman. The rank and file are basically good people but they've been lied to for so long by the union leadership. It's sad really.
