Excuses, excuses. Ramadan fasting is not absolute, as there are a LOT of exemptions for practical reasons. He is attempting to flaunt his religion by not drinking.

Two exemptions that apply here are travel and health. If he has to travel, he is allowed to fast on other days to make up. If he is required to exert himself in the heat in that uniform, then not drinking water endangers his health through dehydration. In that case he can make up for it by providing, for each day he breaks his fast, the daily Ramadan meals for another person who is less fortunate. As a pro NFL player, I’m sure he can afford to pay for a couple dozen meals for the less fortunate in order to get right with Allah.

Absolutely NOT required. This guy is just begging for attention to his supremacist ideology. Trying to force the dhimmis to bow to his demands. Wish these guys would notice that their belief system says blacks are inferior to whites and especially that we are all inferior to Arabs. No way to achieve “equality.”
