Another typical code oink/NOanswer rally for a traitor. I picked Uncle Jimbo up at 1030. He was feeling a little rough, but after two bottles of XXX Vitamin Water, he was was in top form. Jimbo has a gift. He loves talking to the press and he is good. So Uncle Jimbo took point with the press and it was a thing of beauty. CNN actually gave him a few more seconds than they gave suzie.
We need to give major BZ's to the Quantico Police Department. We weren't sure we would be allowed to assemble on such short notice, but when UJ and I rolled up, there was a gentlemen there filling out a permit for Gathering of Eagles, which the QPD had brought with them. Thanks to Sarge for taking the initiative and signing his name to a legal document. Attendance was light as I had expected given the time frame, but we had 1,000's with us in spirit. The useful idiots managed to field 75-80. The usual suspects were there, Wuke, Princess, Large Marge, SuzieQ, SEIU member Bruce, and I saw a few IVAW and Vets for Peace t-shirts. Wuke, Princess and I exchanged words on the walk back, and Marge stepped in and shooed them both up the sidewalk. I spoke at length to a former Marine, a journalist who now writes for a field grade military publication. I gave her background on code oink's activities in the past. WRAMC; Recriutment Centers; connections to anarchist and marxist groups.
(I tried to channel Dr Raoul, but I'm not that good) She was truly shocked to learn that code oink held a war protest in front of a military hospital. Jimbo and I left about 1400 and he hung with me while I delivered some BBQ sauce. Then we stopped by to see our favorite writer, SKK. Who also happens to be a very cool Lady. It was a very good day all around, IMHO. We didn't allow the leftist scum to go unanswered and got some good press as a bonus.
