I remember a certain episode of the Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour in the 60s, where they sang the folk song “John Henry”.
When Dick asked Tom if he knew who John Henry was, Tom said “Sure I do. He was a big railroad tycoon!”

Amazing that CBS let that one get by the censors, but then again, it was a more enlightened, less sensitive time...
