Not surprising, really. In the early 90’s, I was doing some work for a Demo rancher in the northern TX Panhandle, near the Okie border. He had over 60 long guns in a wall case. I asked him how he felt about the dems wanting to disarm him. He said there was no way the dems were anti-gun. Denial, just like my dad, a lifelong dem (albeit a conservative). He was really shocked and hurt to learn that I was a Republican. There was no convincing him of what the dems had come to be. There are millions of dems who can’t accept that their party is now run by commies.
