That was the policy of George Bush, father and son, if I recall correctly. Probably 3/4 of Republican leaders would agree with it, if only for diplomatic reasons. I happen to disagree, But I’m not eager to hand victory to the Democrats by stupidly picking a fight with my fellow Republicans.
