Perhaps the biggest tragedy of the Columbine school massacre is not the dead and wounded but of the myths perpetuated.These myths dishonor the lives lost because they impart faulty lessons. Columbine was never about poor picked upon Eric Harris (REB) and Dylan Klebold (VoDKa) striking out at their tormentors. Horrific though it was, Eric dreamt of much more than gunning to death twelve students and one teacher. Eric wanted to annihilate the whole school and then the assembled police and media, live on national television. His goal was to insert this nightmarish vision into our national psyche. Frighteningly enough, he came a few faulty detonators close to doing just that.

I always thought that Harris and Klebold idolized and avenge the imprisonment of Timothy McVeigh, Ramzi Yousef, and Ted Kaczynski.

Harris was a psychopath, while Klebold was conflicted avoidant.

Thank you for posting the links to the psychological profiles.

When describing Klebold, I was shooting for a layman's description so I took the two traits people most often attributed to him. I will provide these links for people who want an in depth profile. The main point is that there were not two equal partners in the tragedy, Eric, the psychopath, was the main driver.

It is my understanding that, rather than idolizing, Eric wanted to outdo Timothy McVeigh. Beyond having a common interest in bombing, Eric did not share any philosophical views with any of the other bombers.

Apparently, there are some minor disagreements amongst psychiatrists.

The links you provided are from Aubrey Immelman. She has some disagreements with the profiles by Dr. Frank Ochberg, a psychiatrist, and FBI lead Columbine investigator Dwayne Fuselier, a clinical psychologist both with the FBI.

I was thinking more like they sympathized with Timothy McVeigh, Ramzi Yousef, and Ted Kaczynski and could not watch them in the Supermax Prison, which is not too far from Columbine. They probably could even relate to them since they saw them screwed by the government like them after they were arrested for breaking into a van in early 1998.

Your welcome. I figure there would be some disagreement since Harris and Klebold are dead. I always thought Harris was a psychopath, while Klebold was psychotic.

I have always wondered is what kind of person is Lori Drew and Ashley Grills. They were the people who harassed Megan Meier to suicide in 2006. From what I have read Drew was very sociable, clingy, pents up her rage, vindictive, resentful, and fearful of rejection. As for Grills, I have very little on her other then she saw Drew as a motherly figure.

There are no psychological profile on Drew and Grills. However, Lori Drew reminds me of Gertrude Baniszewski (Indiana Torture Mom, who is a psychopath), Wanda Holloway (Texas Cheerleading Mom), Betty Broderick (San Diego Socialist who killed Dan Broderick and Linda Kolkena), South Hadley 6, Dean Corll, Charles Manson. To some extent she does remind me of the Harris and Klebold, Seung-Hui Cho, Fred Phelps, and Osama bin Laden. My thinking is Drew is a psychopath who consumed by paranoia and narcissism.

As for the South Hadley 6, I think they are probably psychopaths with borderline personality, which is fear of rejection, which Kayla Narey and Flannery Mullins showed.
