Unfreakinbelievable!

The leftist enviro nazis and the Obama Administration are doing this kind of stuff all over the US. From turning the water off to California farms, ‘regulating’ dust on farms(essentially killing American farming), stealing private property and the list goes on and on.

Thanks for the ping. How can we stop this madness?

Got another one for ya. This was during Clinton's gov’t. shut down.

Early one morning we had a very wet snowfall. The snow was sticking to everything. Knowing of a copse of holly trees in the Jamaica Bay bird sanctuary, I thought I could get some great close-up pictures of holly leaves and berries with snow on them. When I got to the parking lot there were cones blocking it off, but there were tire tracks going into the lot. I parked outside the cones and walk up the the visitor's center. Inside were a group of 20-30 people decked out in their best LL Bean accouterments. I also noticed open wine bottles, wine glasses and goatskins being passed around (about 8 AM). I was informed that the sanctuary was closed due to the shut down. When I asked what they were doing there I was told it was for the Winter Bird Count (Audubon Soc. sponsored). Now I know this area very well, so I went and parked in another public lot and took a little used path into the sanctuary. After walking about a half hour during which the snowfall stopped, I spent about four hrs. taking photos. I then decided to approach the visitor's center unseen. This was about 1 PM. The sounds of music and voices were coming from the building and the cars in the parking lot were still covered in fresh snow as were the tracks they made on entering. There were NO footprints leaving the building except the ones to the parking lot. These “nature lovers” had NEVER LEFT THE BUILDING!!!!

This incident and the one I posted up-thread should be remembered whenever some gov’t. bureaucrat cites the numbers of birds in a given area.....THE STATISTICS ARE A FRAUD!!!!!

Be careful out there. A drunken Audubon authoritarian may decide to run you down with their Prius or Volt.

District Court Upholds Designation of Critical Winter Habitat for Piping Plovers Along Cape Hatteras National Seashore

###

In an opinion that goes against off-road vehicle interests along Cape Hatteras in North Carolina, a federal judge has ruled that the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service properly designated critical winter habitat for the piping plover, a threatened species of shorebirds.

Judge Royce C. Lamberth, chief judge of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, held that the Fish and Wildlife Service properly considered economic impacts, special management considerations, and off-road vehicle regulations when it set aside 2,053 acres in North Carolina’s Dare and Hyde counties — including parts of Cape Hatteras National Seashore — as critical habitat for the diminutive shorebirds.

Land Swap Triggers Colorado Dust-Up

###

Billionaire energy magnate William Koch’s 4,500-acre cattle ranch in western Colorado is split in two by a large strip of federal land—and he wants to change that.

*snip*

That legislation has been introduced by Rep. John Salazar, a Democrat who represents the region (and who is the brother of Interior Secretary Ken Salazar) and who has received campaign contributions from Mr. Koch.

*snip*

The deal also includes five luxury-home sites in Colorado that he bought for $2.7 million and that have long been coveted by the National Park Service for their scenic value and because they provide habitat for the sage grouse.

Psst! The National Park Service is hiring
Aug 24 2010

###

Here’s a hot job tip for lovers of the great outdoors. In an otherwise stagnant job market, the U.S. National Park Service is hiring, reports CNNMoney.com.

If you’ve always wanted to be a park ranger, your chances of landing that coveted gig right now are pretty good: More than half the positions in the Northeast will be vacant in the next five years, said Chief Ranger Jill Hawk. In particular, urban parks —

*snip*

“The myth of the national park ranger is that they’re at Yosemite,” said Hawk. “What’s not really well known is that there are park rangers in the inner city protecting the national heritage of the U.S.”

Over the summer, the NPS recruited students at urban colleges for summer gigs that could lead to full-time work. Students at Temple University in Philadelphia and at San Antonio College in Texas spent 12 weeks earning up to $16 an hour in the hopes of landing a $50,000-a-year gig as one
of 1,500 armed law enforcement rangers when they graduate.

The marxist overlords are likely offering corporations very alluring govt ‘deals’ and tax breaks for cooperation with their agenda, and look at the bennies and good pay for green jobs/national park duty in this horrendous state of (what could be purposefuly) high unemployment. Additions to the Obama brownshirt civil domestic force .. and what a coinkydinky:

They’re armed! There ya go.

For what it’s worth the NPS is under court order to protect the birds and turtles. The land on the OBX was donated or sold to the state of NC, not the Federal Government. The land was worthless at the time. The land was given to the NPS by the state of NC to protect the outer banks. All of the above should be resolved one way or the other by the end of the year per the judge. I was at Buxton, NC, from June through July. The “point” was open when I left. There is 70 miles of beach with very little of it closed. The economy has not suffered because of anything the NPS has done....quite the contrary. The main thing that ruins Flanagans is his attitude toward anyone who disagrees with him.

This is a very informative documentary, save for one thing - what can we do to help these people and others in the same situation? Contribute to a legal fund? Write letters?

I don’t want to just sit here and be angry. Tell me what kind of action needs to be taken.
