In the heat of the Ground Zero mosque debate, New York public high schools are pushing a test that slams the history of Christianity while exalting the spread of Islam. Some NY teachers were so upset when reading the Regents exam on Global History and Geography that they have complained to the press and even leaked their teacher’s guide on the test.
The exam gives high schoolers questions based on nine sources on the spread of Christianity, Islam, and Buddhism. Buddhism is given a slight positive, yet mostly neutral treatment in the exam. The spread of Christianity gets a mixed treatment of neutral statements and pretty blatant attacks. Islam, on the other hand, gets promoted and hailed as not only positive, but specifically better than Christianity.
At least one Brooklyn teacher who administered the exam complained to the New York Post:
There should have been a little balance in there… To me, this was offensive because it’s just so inappropriate and the timing of it was piss-poor.
I have read a copy of the Regents Exam and here are some examples to show the imbalance.
In talking about Islam spreading to Africa:

The school board’s choice of John Esposito as a source is enough to reveal a bias toward promoting Islam. Esposito is a Georgetown professor who has spent his career defending Radical Islam. He placed the blame for 9-11 on the lack of pluralism and tolerance in America. Esposito has long decried American ‘imperialism’ while defending Islamic terrorism. He has asked Jews and Westerners to reject the “irrational fear of terrorism.” The professor refuses to even study Islamic violence.

The progressives are nuts. They have no idea just how dangerous it is to deal with Muslims, especially Arab Muslims.
There are still a lot out there who are searching or who have hardened their hearts and condemned all religion. We can still reach a lot of them.
Those who have signed up for evil will be working harder than ever in the days ahead.
I wonder if the female teachers praising Islam approve of:
1) arranged marriages
2) burkas
3) no abortion option
4) female genital mutilation
5) women treated as chattel
6) no lesbian marriages
7) multiple wives
8) undeniable obedience to the male
9) the outlawing of ‘chick flicks’
10) Islam or else!!!
Leftists exist to spread as much misery and death in the world as they possibly can. They don’t believe in Islam but they greatly appreciate terrorism and any other violent acts towards the innocent.
I don't know how anyone can be surprised at this. It is the natural extension of a nation that has become self loathing, adopted egalitarian multiculturalism and allows all groups but those of the founding stock to have political grievance & lobbying groups.
As long as whites and/or Christians agree they are evil and must make atonement all is well but otherwise not so much. It only works one way.

Good points. And that’s true, preventing them from exporting their oil to us would probably have collapsed their bandit economies in fairly short order.

Piss-poor was a word my dad used to describe useless work or items. I grew up hearing it. I wonder if the word is in the King James Bible? Yes, it is. In one battle, the soldiers were commanded to kill everyone who “pissed against the wall.” That would be adult men.

The American Left are admirers of all things totalitarian because other totalitarians-Castro, etc...have been able to do with their dissidents (kill and imprison them) what the American Left would do to Flyover Country if they could. The American Left are a bigger threat immediately than ANY Islamisist because they enable the Islamisist in our name.
If anything we should be exporting oil and not importing it but the only way to get from here to there is the same way you give up smoking. We’d survive it, they wouldn’t.

Do you mean Catholics? Or northern Catholics? But when you use that term northern Catholics you have to include Americans of southern European descent, and also recognize the Puerto Ricans. Then there those Polish Catholics congregated in Chicago. And French Canadians.
Don't forget, some of these northern Catholics(and southwestern brown Catholics) are fundamentalists, just like the southern protestants.
Yes. They are in Saudi Arabia. In fact, they installed one of their puppets in the white House in 2008.
