Obama will say he has the right to say that, blah blah blah.
There is little rational discussion in any of the media. That is why subscriptions/viewers continue to decline.
The Florida pastor did a great service.
He was able to get Ron Paul and his fellow travelers to admit that they feel Muslims are violent.
Book burning is bad.
Kind of like burning the Flag..you know, protesting...
The response seems to be that if it offends the Muslims, you should not do it. Seems to be just another response to their terrorism.
One day we will either go to war with Muslims, or be swept under them.
The sooner that war starts the better our chance of winning it.
I thought the guy was wrong to schedule the book-burning on 9/11, because he was co-opting the date for his own political purposes. I also didn’t think burning the koran as a smart thing to do.
However, I admit now that I wonder if we shouldn’t all be burning korans, all the time, all around the world, just to desensitize the muslim community, so they can get used to it and don’t act so out-of-sorts when it happens.
I mean, the first time someone does something, it seems like a big deal. But if it is happening all the time, and you realise it doesn’t really effect you personally, you learn to move on and let it go.
So part of me thinks we could do the “moderate muslim” community a great service by desensationalizing the whole koran-burning thing by doing it as part of a daily routine or something.
It would also help the “moderate muslim” community learn who among them are particularly prone to excessive reactions to perceived slights, so they could counsel their brethren on the “religion of peace” and how to get along with the infidels without chopping heads off and blowing things up.
I’m sure that the “moderate muslim” community would love to tackle this important task of bring their more radical brethren back to what we are told is a “correct understanding” of Islam.
Media’s focus on Koran burning is nothing like it’s focus on bible burning wonder why?. /s
