I agree with both of you. My post, which quoted Palin’s “book burning is bad”, was meant as a testament to her Churchillian mastery of the language and its power to convey both gravity and persuasion.

Okay. What she said was a silly simplification.

Governments burning books that belong to others is bad, but I would bet this pastor didn’t steal anyones books.

He was going to burn books that he or his flock of 50 either owned or were donated. Whats the problem? If I own it and want to burn my books, thats my business. My hubby had some liberal books from years ago that he tossed into a bonfire. His books, his business. It was funny to watch that drivel burn.

There is a book coming out(heard about it on FOX this morning) that the government wants to buy all the books. The reason is to cover their own mistakes and treachery.

Now that is bad. You know there must be a lot of truth in there for them to do that.
