I’m just thinking .. who’s managing O’Donnell’s campaign?

Is it a newbie .. a Rove/establishment enemy?

And if that’s also in the mix of Rove’s vitriol and anger.

http://www.cnn.com/2010/POLITICS/09/15/odonnell.profile/

The core of staff and volunteers flanking O’Donnell on Sunday night was a devoted group. O’Donnell’s volunteer coordinator said to her, the effort feels like “more of a cause than a campaign.”

Included among the group was O’Donnell’s campaign treasurer, Sandi Taylor, whose brother is Doug Hoffman, the Tea Party-backed candidate who fell short in a special congressional election last year. O’Donnell’s campaign manager, Matt Moran, is also a Hoffman holdover, having led his bid last year.

Thanks .. looks like newbies and what the political
snobs would say are amateurs .. LOL. If she gets
enough $$, she can hire some real pros (if there are
any who aren’t committed to Romney, etc.).

The election and success of Chris Christie belies their claims about electability.

I was on the phone. Wasn’t the blonde chick shocked by Rove’s sore lower routine? Seems like she was making faces. I had the mute on and glad I did. Dana Perrino - she looked shocked at Rove’s tantrum.

Rove said, in essence, there are questions about her personal ethics. Sean said he’s asked her those questions and she answered them satisfactorily.

YOU decide if you want to believe Hannity or Rove.

She didn’t have the money to pay her bills from time to time. Okay. Most of us have struggled once or twice with paying our bills on time and some of us have been late on paying their electric bill or had to pay their tax bill or college loans in installments and so forth. No big deal. The fact that she’s experienced what many Americans are struggling with every day now because of zero and his elitist thugs does not diminish her in my opinion.

The only thing in her background that bothers me is the suit she filed. If that’s the worst thing she ever did, that makes her better than any rat in congress. She’s not a perfect or stellar candidate, but Castle is a disaster for the people. The DE pub party should have done a much better job of finding candidates. If they hadn’t run RINO Castle in the first place and found a popular person with at least some conservative creds, O’Donnell wouldn’t have been a threat.

I don’t think Rush thought McCain could win, at least not after the campaign was in full swing because McCain wasn’t trying to win. He acted like a loser from almost the git-go.

I think McCain could have won by a squeaker if he’d run a decent campaign and actually TRIED to win. But his great reverence for rats held him back and made him a timid, fatuous candidate.

Not liking McCain is not the same thing as thinking he couldn’t win. Apples and oranges. For example, I detest Barbara Boxer, but this being CA, the race is hers to lose.

McCain was ahead in all the polls until the “financial crisis.”

Well, that event started just after Labor Day which is when public opinion starts firming up because that’s when people start paying attention.

Odd how that coincided, eh? Anyway, because those two things happened about the same time, it’s hard to say for sure that the financial crisis commenced McCain’s deterioration in the polls or if it was caused by McCain’s wimpiness in the face of the ruthlessness of the rat machine.

I am not comparing her to Castle.

And the question of honest is much more important than you are presenting. BUt have at it, I don’t think you quite get it. Honesty is important, perhaps the most important thing.

I’ve listened to Rush, closely, for over 20 years (probably more). I do not believe he ever said he thought McCain could win. In fact he kept saying “we are so screwed” after the match was set. His only hope was folks voted for Palin. But you know? If McCain had gone to DC and instead of suspending his campaign and falling into line with bailouts, if he would have said this is all BS and he was going to oppose it, he may have actually won it all, or at least he would have gone down as a prescient prophet. Right now folks would be saying, “He was right.”

Not that I’m aware of. Do you think she did? If so, how?

I didn’t say Rush said he could win. Someone else said that. I was simply pointing out how it would be possible that earlier on in the campaign Rush could have thought McCain could win. As for Rush saying, “We are so screwed”, I’d have to know if he meant we’re screwed no matter which candidate won (zero or McCain), or if he meant that since McCain got the nomination, no way could pubs win. Who was the “we” in Rush’s statement? “We”, the conservatives, or “we”, the pubs? Those are rhetorical questions. My point is that I’d have to hear the context in order to know which way Rush meant it. The campaign was two years ago, so I’m not going to debate the point further with you.

I agree with you about McCain and the bailout/suspending campaign nonsense, all of that. But he had more problems than just that. It was his general refusal to fight. His “rise above it all” and “turn the other cheek” BS was a doomed formula. It’s almost as though he wanted to lose, as though it fulfilled his inner martyr to lose. I don’t know. He made me sick and I’m even more sick about his loser attitude now because of what zero and his administration have done. It’s as though McCain’s failure unleashed darkness onto the world through zero’s ascendancy.

Sorry I addressed message to wrong person (you). Rush meant the country was so screwed because, yes, no matter who won (McCain or Bambi) it was not going to end well.

You need to go back into the show archives, especially after Palin was picked. Rush most certainly thought McCain could win.

I’ll take your word for it. Rush may have been wishful thinking AND McCain could have actually won (perish the thought) if he would have gone hard at it, showed the opponent was a full-fledged Marxist with no good experiences, etc.

I don’t know if she’s honest or not. There seems to have been a lot of turmoil surrounding her and she has made some statements that are hard to rationalize as anything other than either terribly confused or outright dishonest.

Still, we’ll see how she does now that she’s the nominee. Hopefully she’ll pull it together.

I’m just disappointed that so many people want to immolate Rove for expressing some real concerns and even disappointment. I do think he should have moderated these a bit in his early statements to Hannity, and I suspect he will in the future.

There are lots of real reasons to have reservations about this candidate, and the conservative movement should be big enough and secure enough to accomodate them without an internecine war.

If Karl Rove is not conservative enough to meet the orthodoxy test, then, indeed the Tea Party will prove to be a narrowly confined, short-lived movement that dissipates and devours itself, just like the left is hoping....

(I don’t believe that, by the way...)

We agree. Sometimes the tea party supporters remind me of a mob here. I hope this is just keyboard fire brandishers and not a characteristic if the tea party. Odesnt seem to be the case but I don’t like mobs much.

And the use of the word “elites” is irritating like out of a commie movement.
