There was a time when violence was equated with those on the fringes of society: groups like the Ku Klux Klan, the Black Panthers, or the Weather Underground. I’d say that most Americans still feel that way today. Unfortunately, we’ve seen a rise to power on from some of these people who not only had no qualms about using violence, but who have advocated it as a valid tactic.
An interesting video surfaced earlier this week on Glenn Beck’s new news and opinion website The Blaze in which influential Leftist sociologist and author Frances Fox Piven shares her theories on the use of violence. This video shows just how unhinged the mainstream Left has become.
In it, Piven is speaking at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. The date on the clip is November 11, 2004, and there’s no context to the video, but I can only assume she’s speaking to a group of students. The clip begins with someone asking her:
It seems like most of the progressive movements are committed to non-violence, but you seem to be advocating a more strong physical resistance. And I wonder, at what point do we draw the line? What amount of property damage do we accept? What amount of physical violence do we accept? What issues are strong enough to put us in a place where we are willing to take a stand and take a beating for what we believe?
Piven begins her response in measured, carefully chosen words:
I have considerable respect for non-violence, but I don’t treat it as inevitably a necessary rule. The reason I have respect for non-violence, is I think it helps to protect the protesters.

Every now and then we get a glimpse into these diseased minds, when they lower their guard for a moment.
Watching the clip with Piven gave me the chills, but these are the people we’ve let into the universities and colleges, bent on America’s destruction through their evil propaganda targeted at our youth. And now this group-think has become the norm rather than the exception.

Her use of the phrase “considerable respect for non-violence” suggests to me that she has to hold her nose to grudgingly accept the idea of non-violent demonstration.
“The violence of the white mob was being used strategically in those demonstrations. Do you think they didn’t know that the mob was going to beat them up? Of course they did… They were using violence. Violence was part of those movements and part of why they were successful.”

Yes, the LEFT is “unhinged” and WILL resort to violence. The LEFT is extremely immature. Like little children they can NOT contain their emotions and MUST have their way. The END justifies the means.
Frankly, people like Ms. Piven are just the sort of ideologues who have created bloodbaths throughout history. We'll see how well their tactics work in a country where the vast majority is opposed to their agenda and the citizenry either have in hand or can readily access firearms.
Its important to study these people and learn to recognize their tactics instinctively.
The 8/28 rally was a perfect example of what happens when we stay a step ahead. The media expected signs they could misrepresent and angry political rhetoric. They got neither and became enraged and “acted stupidly”.
True. We have a Communist Administration. I only hope he can be Impeached next year but I doubt it. Maybe Congress, if we get it back in American hands can hold the line until 2012 but the damage may be so huge we can not recover.

There are a lot of disconnects between reality and the way media spoon feeds the population about leftist groups.
Leftists are extremely arrogant people, they believe their opposition is “dangerous” and therefore can be fought by any means. Leftists by their very nature are conspiratorial in constant efforts to undermine the system.
Ultimately, someone who considers you a racist and imperialist murderer, and wants to take your property, has to threaten, imprison, or kill you.
We can recover but it may take many years. In fact expecting it to take less than a decade would be foolish.

Exactly. Not all spider hole dwellers are the same and they take different tactics to remove. Some take sustained carpet bombing, some are starved out, and some will require a guy with a flame thrower but they can be removed.
