Reality Of Education. (If you thought American schools were bad...)

Recently in Iraq, we are getting to see schools from muds!!! Yes, from muds, you may not believe me, but in country of oil, we have schools from muds not only that but even from straw too!!!

We really don’t appreciate what we have...even if we’re poor, we probably have more than any of these kids.

The kids look like they’re paying attention and working hard.

But, sadly, that does them no good at all. According to the NEA, kids can't learn to read unless they do it in a $50 million school with giant TVs in every room, a computer on every desk, and an indoor Olympic-size swimming pool to relax in. (Yes, that's sarcasm.)

Yeah, but notice I only said “read”.

If you want the kids to be able to write and cipher too, that costs a little more.

Those kids look wholesome and happy to be there. When they start sagging their pants and expecting free lunches, then there’s a problem.
