Go for it. This “star” is just an attention wh*re and “singer.” Probably helped by autotune cause most of em cannot sing anyway. This all smells like a publicity stunt.

If thats all it takes, then you have some self examination to do. Actually if anything outside of you and your convictions can change your mind, then you have problems.
