I would have thrown the book at him - THE OXFORD ENLIGH LANGUAGE DICTIONARY UNABRIDGED - and then watch it crush his skull.

That's actually 12 books or so. Even the compact edition with magnifying glass is two volumes. Since they have announced that the OED will be digital only, I'm not sure I would want to waste any print copies on Colbert. Maybe a whole stack of Miss Ciccone's "Sex" book. They had a metal cover.
