everybody a ladder into the middle class

A ladder to the middle. That's funny! Reminds me of a scene from "Almost Famous":

Lester Bangs: What, are you like the star of your school?
William Miller: They hate me.
Lester Bangs: Yeah, well, you'll meet them all again on their long journey to the middle.

He is the best example, till the lastest mistake, of a disaster foisted upon the public by the dems.

It's crystal clear that he meant it.

Can't wait to see how he edits the Bill of Rights.

"...we’re going to give everybody opportunity, everybody a ladder into the middle class..."

Notice how smoothly this Marxist segues from the Jeffersonian principles upon which our nation was founded, and into Socialist dogma.

I still cannot believe that liberals vociferously defend him against the charge of Socialist, with evidence like this littering his entire public career.

True reciprocity would have the Creator omit Obama.

Mytzlplk. Yea, I’m a nerd.

Weird. I thought of that character just the other day. Wasn't it spelled "Mxyzptlk", though?

Gotta be from a certain era to even know what we're talking about...

Obama keeps using the term, “inalienable rights.” Doesn’t the Declaration of Independence refer to “unalienable rights?”

To my mind, there’s a difference: “unalienable rights” would be those rights that can’t be surrendered, sold or transferred to someone else - to the government, for example, or another person(God-given rights, like life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness).

“Inalienable rights” would be rights that can be transferred with the consent of the person possessing those rights.

Is he making a conscious decision to use the word “inalienable,” or does he just not know how the Declaration reads?

I think you are missing Obama’s point (or viewpoint)

Those rights are ENDOWED by GOVERNMENT, not a creator, in his world.

....So we can tax the heck out of them and punish them for their success.

But he had no problem reciting the shahada.

According to Islamic scholars, reciting the Shahada, the Muslim declaration of faith, makes one a Muslim. This simple yet profound statement expresses a Muslim’s complete acceptance of, and total commitment to, the message of Islam.

Obama knows this from his Quranic studies — and he knows the New York Times will publish this fact and it will be seen throughout the Islamic world.

Regardless of Obama’s religion, what message is he sending the world’s 1.2 billion Muslims?

It’s interesting that Obama has remembered the Shahada for the 35 years since he left Indonesia — and in ‘first-class’ Arabic — especially since he believes the Muslim call to prayer is “one of the prettiest sounds on Earth.”

The fact that Obama can recall the Shahada after 35 years and the fact that he believes that the daily call to prayer is “one of the prettiest sounds on Earth” say that those Muslim prayers run through his head often — what does that make him?

That “ladder to the middle class” is fine, except,

you have to FORCE other people to build the ladder,
and/or take from them, again by force, the materials to build that ladder.

“...and we’re going to make those words live, and we’re going to give everybody opportunity,...”

“..and GIVE...” He says it right there, folks, where the “rights” actually come from in his view. Nothing could be clearer.

"Unfortunately I suspect this guy will go around forever, gracelessly unemployed, telling us for 30 years how he was right and the rest of us were all wrong."

Jimmy Carter Part Deux, in more ways than one. Hopefully he will also emulate Carter in having only a single term.

It’s ridiculous. You can’t fight the bell curve. The very fact that it is the middle defines its limits. You can’t all be in the middle, or else it’s not the middle anymore. There’s always going to be a low end, a high end, and a middle. And ANYONE with two good arms and legs and a willingness to work can still reach the middle. It’s really not even hard to do.

And some douchebag democrat named “Professor Marc Lamont Hill” says the country is “a bunch of loonies” for believing that 0bama is a Muslim.
