Wake Up Christians!!! (Iraqi Christians question American Christians)
Eastern Liberty ^ | Thursday, September 30, 2010 | Freedom

Posted on 10/01/2010 1:25:23 PM PDT by Mister Ghost

I read about "atheists actually know more than Protestants and Catholics" in U.S.

This article shocked & make me sad, & I don't know if this because of too much freedom or technology or kind of political system to destroy our Christianity, & I don't know who is responsible here, people or priests or churches???

Are you following faith with blind mind??? - I believe most people do that, & most them, "OK, I have faith, why should I read Bible, I'm enough, that's it", do you think Jesus taught us to be blind? & how can you have faith without knowledge about everything in Bible? how can you believe without knowing Bible?

The horrible thing when we think that religion should be second or margin matter in our life, While we are racing to know the bad stuff & silly one in our daily life.

How’s your Arabic (or Aramaic, the village language among Assyrian Christians)?

Hello,
They’re in Iraq and English is not their first language. It’s likely they’re third after Arabic and Aramaic.

You can find the questions the Atheists had to answer. A substantial percentage of them are stated such that an Atheist will give a snap answer that's correct according to a limited understanding of Christianity. A Christian will find them very difficult to answer.

It was a trick test designed to snare the unwary.

Yesterday it was “Mormons know more”.

Someone is always going to know more.

But what more do they know?

Actually, in the case of my post, your derision seems to have been deserved.

Well, I guess I'm cutting the guy some slack because I know first hand that it's easier said than done and takes some chutzpah when you're trying to write coherently in what is your second or third language. Plus, I thought the subject and point of his comments were spot on.

If a native speaker understands what you're trying to say you're actually doing pretty well. Believe me, before Babblefish and other online translators became available I used to have to deal with what I called Dictionary Roulette English from customers in Taiwan. It was anyone's guess what they were actually trying to say. Sometimes the results would leave us in tears of laughter.

Bite the wax tadpole?

My point is that I’d rather not see caveman crap posted here.
It’s an opinion.

No problem, HG, you certainly are entitled to express an opinion here and I read your comments with a smile. I've got my own set of grammatical pet peeves such as "They're for There", "Effect for Affect", and the ever popular "Your for You're". Poor grammar is a distraction and tends to affect how the writer's comments are received. The worst and most embarrassing culprits tend to be "journalists" writing for the so-called "major media".

What bravado, what courage-to mock those who struggle for their identity and freedom under perpetual oppression and threat of death.
Your hubris is as un-American as your creed of “I’d rather not see caveman crap posted here. It’s an opinion.” You come across as a racist, but I may be wrong. What is certain is your grasp of the world is limited to your trailerpark. Yes, you are entitled to your opinion, but please don’t breed and ruin the gene pool for the rest of us.
If you have anything of value to say or add to the world, please contribute. If you just want to insult those who are trying to make the world a better place, leave off those who are much better human beings than you are, and feel free to insult me, I’ll be your huckleberry.
