Quality rivtes have nothing to do with it. The iceberg Shaved them off AND put a hole in the hull at the same time. Either way it went down. Part of the problem was that The ships owner and The captain wanted to set a record for arriving in New York sooner. On top of that, bad quality steel was used in the construction.
