..... Speaking as one who was there, you are absolutely correct. On my little patch of ground in Boston, the intrusion of the Leftist into the hippy movement really became obvious in 68. It started with “free concerts” by left-wing performers which inevitably featured a harangue about Vietnam or the “power elite” (hysterically hypocritical from today’s point of view) or the evil Nixon or whatever “political injustice” du jour they chose to rant about. I really believe that an important book remains to be written about the organization, planning and funding of the Leftist program to coopt, destabilize and radicalize American youth and universities. There is no possible way this was a spontaneous phenomenon.
