Dear Fox Advertiser,
I am writing to ask your company to take a simple step that may well save lives in the future. And it is not unimportant that taking this action will remove your company and its products from any connection to what could very likely be an unpleasant tragedy, should things remain as they are today. On behalf of my organization, and many others like it, I ask that you cease advertising on the Fox News Channel.
This is neither a hollow request, nor one rhetorically made. There is an urgency to it born of our own direct experience as the target of a would-be assassin inspired by Fox's Glenn Beck Show.
On July 19th of this year, I arrived at our San Francisco office to learn that a misguided person carrying numerous guns and body armor had been on his way to start a "revolution" by murdering my colleagues and me. The Oakland Police Department called to tell us that, following a 12 minute shootout with the California Highway Patrol, law enforcement officials arrested an assailant who had targeted the Tides Foundation, an organization which I founded and currently serve as CEO, and the ACLU for violence. To say we were "shocked" does not adequately describe our reaction. Imagine, for a moment, that you were us and, had it not been for a sharp eyed highway patrolman, a heavily armed man in full body armor would have made it to your office with the intent to kill you and your colleagues. His motive? Apparently, it was because the charitable, nonpartisan programs we run are deemed part of a conspiracy to undermine America and the capitalist system, which is hogwash.

The Oakland Police Department called to tell us that, following a 12 minute shootout with the California Highway Patrol, law enforcement officials arrested an assailant who had targeted the Tides Foundation...Sorry, I haven't been following this story. Has this claim been confirmed by the police department? Or are we just supposed to take his word for it?
If it’s not advertised on Fox... don’t buy the box.
I do hope this Tides crap backlashes...
Once Americans take our country and our government back, we need to move on to investigations, indictments, trials and a heap of lengthy prison sentences.
Having read the comments/replies on the MM blog, I am willing to bet that a large percentage were written by the same person. Too ‘manufactured’ to be real.
Maybe the Tides Foundation should change its name to the “Moloch Charity Group”. Moloch was the old Semitic deity that demanded endless child sacrifices.

The Tides Foundation: where they get their money, and where the money goes...

I’ve gone to the link but can’t find a list of “advertisers”.
Who are they?
Let’s face it, if Tides is against them, I want to buy their products.
Tides Foundation is also a big & integrated player with many others in all the Enviro challenges to normal American life.
They want to remove all human usage of over 50% of the physical area of the USA. No fances-roads- nothing.
They call it “Pre-Columbus” status of the land. They want us all to live in very dense pockets of habitation. Don’t know what they think we will use to grow food on.
I call it nuts.
No One knows what this country was like before Columbus landed on the eastern shore in 1492.
"I'm Drummond Pike, and I approve this message!"
So far, Fox News has gained viewers as a result of the left's smears and threats. Advertisers want viewers and Fox has them. I doubt these kinds of specious accusations and 'warnings' from leftist groups like the Tides Foundation will be effective but the fact that they have the gall to try it is offensive. Desperate? Obviously - but also a bit chilling. This kind of bullying must be stopped. Perhaps a few congressional investigations into Tides and other leftist groups - focused on their funding - will be forthcoming in the next congress. It's clearly overdue.
America has boycott fatigue. It rarely works to begin with and nowadays there are so many factions demanding boycotts that the act has become meaningless.
It won’t work.
Can someone get this bumped to breaking news this is a big story.
Is the left planning on harming their own messiah?
Uhhhh... no. That’s not quite it.
Fox News has the highest ratings and veiwing audience of all of the cable news networks! You get the biggest bang for the advertising buck at Fox. where are you going to advertise? msnbc has a few viewers!
The other name for this is Agenda 21. The United Nations is the sponsor.
You are an evil man! I like it.
