You might really want to do yourself a favor and start saying you graduated from Bob Jones University, long form. Graduating from BJU has long been slang for a woman (or maybe a man in gay circles, I don’t know) who’s known for her exceptional oral skills, and I don’t mean oratory excellence.

Prudent people avoid the use of overly suggestive references, even if unintended. Commodore for example, meant nothing illicit with the VIC-20 computer. VIC meant simply, Video Interface Chip. However, Commodore sure as hell changed the name the before they sold them in Germany, because these things do matter.

We need to stop abbreviating Bachelor Of Journalism, Bachelor Of Science and Bachelor Of Music degree titles because folks with fourth-grade senses of humor can't stop themselves from teeheeing when they read or hear them.
