I recently asked two liberal friends "Who killed Chandra Levy?" I was referring, of course, to the 24-year-old congressional intern who went missing in DC in the summer of 2001 after a morning jog. (A dog-walker discovered her remains over a year later.)

This is a story by Robin of Berkeley, one of my favorite bloggers. She goes by a pseudonym to protect herself from harassment from the tolerant liberals of Berkeley.

The murder did not take place in the Beltway. He murdered her in a park in Northwest Washington DC, Rock Creek Park, and that park is inside the Beltway. Barely.

I remember when and where she was found and went back in my notes...The search was stopped short....just before they reached the area where she was eventually found...BECAUSE OF TWO TIPS THAT CAME IN.

Neither tip paid off. I remember because I wrote the FBI about halting the search at that point.

After that, they never went back to continue on that path. It had to be someone near the top that was calling the shots. Someone really big....Who were they protecting???....Starts with a "C", ends with a "T".

FWIW, I'm with FReeper "old school" -- i.e., "post the whole damn thing."

But, I understand the desire to get people to actually visit the site where the original content is posted -- to see OTHER content posted there.

Still, if you want other FReepers to click on your link, and go to another website...

...please give us a more SUBSTANTIAL excerpt to entice us...
...like THIS, from Who Killed Chandra Levy?:
I recently asked two liberal friends "Who killed Chandra Levy?"I was referring, of course, to the 24-year-old congressional intern who went missing in DC in the summer of 2001 after a morning jog. (A dog-walker discovered her remains over a year later.)

One friend responded, “That Democratic congressman she was seeing.” The other answered  “Gary Condit”--referring to the same person. This is the middle-aged, married man with whom Levy had been having an affair.

When I told them the truth--that an illegal alien from El Salvador, Ingmar Guandique, was arrested last year for her murder--my friends were shocked and speechless.

They, like most Americans,  were glued to their television screens in 2001. And yet there was practically a media blackout when Guandique was arrested.

Why wasn’t the closure of Chandra’s murder splashed all over the airwaves?

Could it be because Guandique, already convicted for assaulting two other joggers, didn’t fit the rosy media picture of the undocumented as the victimized? I imagine that if the suspect were a white conservative, his identity would have been emblazoned in the headlines for weeks.

But liberals and the media don’t want the public to consider the full story about illegal immigrants...

Her computer showed her looking for directions to Rock Creek Park.

Her body was found a year after her disappearance in Rock Creek Park.

Who exactly searched for her body? Chief Moose?
