Well, I think I agree, for the most part.

However, the Democrat base is a little bit wider than simply the leftist antireligioners.

The underclass is the Democrat base as well. They like Government handouts but do go to church.

The Dems have to put together a coalition in order to win elections. The Dems have a real tough time winning without Catholics for example.

I'm not just talking about the antireligious. Too many of those churchgoing "underclass" you speak of, think that the Constitution is a document that says "here's what you're allowed to do." That's why I said, anyone who understands that God is the source of our rights, not a piece of paper or a government agency, is not part of the Democommie base.
