I’ll probably regret asking this because I hate polls anyway but what is an “internal” poll?
I suppose I should especially hesitate to ask that question in a thread about Barney Frank.

Candidates do their own polling, rather than the national polling orgs. such as Gallop, Rasmussen, etc.

They're usually skewered because of the wording of the questions.

Candidates hire their own polling firms all the time - sometimes it is to poll their district or potential constituents on issues (think Bill Clinton), but most of the time it is to get a better look at the overall numbers. You get what you pay for though, and not knowing Bielat’s polling firm I can’t make any judgement on how accurate it is. Let’s just hope it is correct!

My internal poll means a lot to me - but I really don't want to explain it.
