I am seeing a new "tactic" in the comment section. Commenters are attempting to bait, provoke, incite to violence. This out and out call for bloodshed is a new clarion call on the left. It seems they are confident that Obama and this thugocracy will not pursue and investigate this call for murder. Clearly if this was "conservative" making these violent threats, the FBI and DHS would be on it so fast your head would spin. You know, make an example out of it.

But the man (or woman) leaving these comments should be straitjacketed, at the very least.

I am calling your attention to it so that you do no take the bait. Do not respond to this entrapment and poison. Do not fall for this obvious trap.

Even the last few days have seen disturbing thuggery in states around the country. This shouldn’t be a partisan issue. Democrats, Republicans, independents and even tea party members should be able to agree that inciting listeners to violence isn’t acceptable. It‘s profoundly disappointing that someone laying the groundwork to run for president doesn’t agree with that.

Simple thing to understand about the Mall. Not all spots are equal. The area closed for the event today included two road closings ~ 3rd and 4th which cross the Mall. however, the stage was set up West of the Grant Memorial which includes a large reflecting pond between the Capitol and the greens.

There are several large buildings on the Mall in that area. That means the event covered about 3 square blocks.

The other end of the Mall has no large buildings ON the Mall. Glen Beck's event took up a space 5 blocks long and 3 blocks wide ~ or 15 square blocks. Inside that space there is a long reflecting pond, so let's say that reduced his space by 2 square blocks, giving him 13 square blocks.

That means Beck had 4.3X as much space as today's event.

At the same time the press of the crowd was probably the same in both areas ~ but if everybody had been from New Delhi or Calcutta I'm sure there'd been ten times as many in both spots!

Not all of the Beck space was equally crowded, so let's say he only had 3X as much space as today's event. They are claiming 350,000 so that'd give Beck OVER 1,000,000.

Ain't bad.

NOTE: Both days had great weather so many people were there just for the BE IN quality I am sure.

According to leftists, the mere act of publicizing leftist’s stupid utterances (e.g. Obama’s 57 states) or informing people of the contents of leftist legislation (”health care bill”) is the same as inciting people to violence.

But when leftists express fervent hopes that, for instance, Clarence Thomas will die of heart disease, or, worse yet, make a movie that could be interpreted as a “how-to” on assassinating President Bush, they are, in no way, inciting people to violence. They’re way too peaceful to ever do that.
