This was a great result—Republicans control everything in PA—but the two things that are still troubling are:

1. The Dem GOTV machine in PA is much better than the Republicans’ effort. That can’t all be chalked up to fraud. The GOP has to improve its ground game in PA if it wants to hold its gains.

2. Registration in the Philly suburbs in what used to be reliably Republican areas of Montgomery, Delaware and Chester counties has moved to an advantage for the Dems. That is what they built on to turn PA blue and that is what they will continue to build on to reverse GOP gains unless the GOP does something about it.

Toomey still took Chesco, but you are right about Montco & Delco.

Although in Delco, Meehan did beat Lentz pretty easily.

Can't agree more - I watched Dee Adcock, who had driven Schwartz bonkers - go down by 13 points. I think he had been probably been within five with two or so weeks to go, given how Schwartz got frantic at the end. But the GOTV effort in Philly and the burbs for the Dems was a steamroller for his chances - Dee needed a Dem turnout of 42 percent and his own GOP turnout of 58 percent to overcome the registration advantage - instead, I am estimating the Dems got over 60 percent turnout in Montco. That is insane. The GOP in this area has to end their infighting and get back to the business of winning elections.
