Well, our planes, helos and drones are using the Carrier and ships as basing for taking off and landing.

Mumbai is a harbor city and if there is a problem with reaching Air Force One our Naval operations enables another route of egress to move the POTUS to a safer more secure location.

Again it’s the prestige of both countries involved and lets bad actors know we brought the full force of the USA to project our power and protect POTUS.
