Matt,
“More is less”?
trisham
I only see one, and it stops mid-sentence. Well, whatever.
Great article, timeless and authentic tips.
[The expense of having your hair dyed with highlights and so forth is not worth it. Natural color is almost always better; even gray]
This guy is clueless. Most women look much better with the right highlights in their hair!
Larry, when you post as a blogger, you’re only allowed to use 300 words. The entire article is 1,700.
As for your make-up rule, I think you are right on the spot. Women who over-do it are a major turn-off. It is like they are trying to mask flaws and usually give of a Mommy Dearest vibe. Think Megan Fox. When she goes light on the makeup, she is pretty hot.
However, it seems she is always showing up in Tammie Fae thick makeup and (I hope I can use this term here), looks like a psycho skank.
More is less, certainly. More makeup, less beauty.
The author has it wrong. The correct saying is “less is more”. He has it backwards.
This is an ignorant article - you can tell right away by the presence of a "Donate" button on his blog. :)
Agreed. I have highlights.
It totally depends on the individual. Men just don't know how to have fun with makeup and such (straight men I should say!)
I think that rule is only if you excerpt per a copyright request. A lot of folks around here don’t care for bloggers excerpting because they feel it is spamming. (you’ve been around long enough and have enough fans I doubt anyone thinks that of your stuff..)
No, that’s a misunderstanding. Excerpting a blogger (especially when it is your own) is not required at all, and posting in full makes it easier to read here without all the flash and animations.
And as much as I poke at some bloggers, there are actually some very good ones. This one has promise. I think posting in full would actually help get the blogger more positive exposure. And like I said, make reading easier.
Thanks just me, though.
More is less attractive, beyond a certain easily undefinable point. The author is fine on this usage.
“Nobody looks at my shoes” ping.
Read the article.
I’m SO screwed.
Thank you, Mr. Jeeves. Most men have no idea what fashion is all about, and I doubt that they would really want to.
Mine’s red with black streaks.
“Lowlights”?....LOL
Oh, I disagree on the jean’s age range. The rule should be if you look good in them. My wife is in her low 30s and looks completely hot in jeans. Of course, she still is a size 6 which helps. If you are a size 12+, do not wear tight jeans, period. Nasty. Also, cheap saggy jeans rarely look good on women. They are for working. IMHO, there is nothing hotter than a women in some tight (not painted on tight) jeans and a tight t-shirt wearing heels.
