As for your make-up rule, I think you are right on the spot. Women who over-do it are a major turn-off. It is like they are trying to mask flaws and usually give of a Mommy Dearest vibe. Think Megan Fox. When she goes light on the makeup, she is pretty hot.
However, it seems she is always showing up in Tammie Fae thick makeup and (I hope I can use this term here), looks like a psycho skank.
When I was 10 yrs. old my father wrote the following in my diary:
“Don’t ever get acquainted with the art of being painted,
because beauty that is nature’s, can’t be out done by fakers.”
I have always thought that he was right! I have never worn a lot of makeup. It just think it feels gross on my skin. I do wear some makeup now though, especially if I am going out. I have never had any piercings other than my ears, though I seldom wear earrings. They get caught in my hair, and they make my earlobes hurt. I just find them annoying. Also, when in college and all my friends were getting tattoos, I never did. Thank God! Nothing looks worse than a 35 year-old executive in a business suit and pumps with a flower tattooed on her ankle!
Bright red lipstick reminds me of a scene on scrubs:
Elliot: “Dr. Cox, does my lipstick make me look like a clown?”
Dr. Cox: “No, it makes you look like a whore, who caters specifically to clowns!”
