I understand your point, and actually agree.
However, be aware that mathmatically, it is perfectly possible to get a run of heads for 20 consecutive toss of a coin without their being any hankie-pankie!

Getting eight heads in a row is statistically significant at 1%. Take 0.5 and raise it to the 8th power. That’s the appropriate calculation.
