Obama said he would compromise on that. That’s easy.
Not funding the provisions is what Republican legislators did to Dukakis-care in Mass. When Weld became governor, he killed it outright. Of course, then Mitt Romney started his monstrosity.
As a non-lawyer, may I ask a related question which hopefully someone can answer? Both sides agree that the issue of the constitutionality of the mandates ( that individuals MUST purchase health insurance) must and will reach the Supreme Court, in a year or two..( after the appeals court) Because it is such an important question, isn’t there a procedure for an expidited appeal directly to SCOTUS, and if so, why isn’t it being used. Thanks
The 1099 section is already being rolled back.
Bump for later

Arizona and Oklahoma just voted to pass this.
It seems that the states can refuse to pay for unfunded mandates. This action would cripple Obamacare.
The Democrats are desperate to repeal the new 1099 requirement. The Republicans blocked them in the summer from this move. Obviously Republicans favor repeal but they do not want to repeal the provision without revisiting the entire legislation.

We can and should also sue based on the religious exemptions within Obamacare - Christians and Muslims can both receive the medical services, but Muslims don’t have to pay the mandated health insurance as part of the religious exceptions.
When was the 1099 mandate rolled back?
When I go to the DR I pay from my own pocket. So far in this decade I've been to the DR 2 times, a Tetanus shot and a fractured finger. I must be living in the stone ages because I just don't see why someone else should be paying for my bills.
