Yeah, we'll see. Meanwhile, AIP membership will graduate from a 5"x7" cell to a public phone booth.
Dont forget, it wasnt long ago Republicans were calling RomneyCare freemarket reform. Its genesis was at Heritage.
Which Republicans? Palin never supported it.
Can you point me to where she advocates gradually phasing out those programs?
Re-read the 4th paragraph. No politician is going to abolish SS/Medicare/Medicaid outright. I don't have a problem protecting it for existing seniors, retirees, and patients while phasing them out for younger people. This is what Sarah means when she says humanely. The rest of healthcare would be turned over to the market.
The 4th paragraph doesn’t back up your claim.
On a slightly different note, don’t you wish folks would stand up and say “it’s not constitutional,” rather than just “we can’t afford it”?
It’s hard for me to believe that the very folks who expanded Medicare greatly with the Part D prescription drug benefit are going to “gradually” phase out the entire Medicare program, much less get rid of Medicaid. Remember, most of the new GOP House leadership supported this trillion dollar tax on our posterity: folks like Boehner, and Cantor, and Ryan...and even such conservative favorites as Steve King of Iowa and Trent Franks of Arizona.
Very well put!!!!
Thanks for the ping.
Of course the first thing the Rats and their MSM buddies are going to do is blame the Republicans for not passing the budget(or as they put it, depriving the troops bullets and body armor). DOD is in a continuing resolution, and will be for quite some time, it looks like. Can’t see the Rats going quietly and passing a budget like they are supposed to do.
Deja Vu all over again.....
I concur 100%. Those are exactly the kinds of things I want to hear my president say. Words such as those inspire confidence and a feeling of security and purpose. It's how real leaders talk.
Notice that she didn't use the pc phrase, "the Democratic Congress". Sarah's got it. She speaks our language.
You can stand against misguided proposals to try dangerous, evil terrorists in the US; precipitously close the Guantanamo prison; and a return to the failed policies of the past in treating the war on terror as a law enforcement problem. Finally, you have a platform to express the support of the American people for all those around the world seeking their freedom that God has bestowed within all mankind's being -- from Burma and Egypt to Russia and Venezuela -- because the spread of liberty increases our own security. Thanks Sarah, thanks Virginia Ridgerunner.
Now THAT'S true political power when a future Speaker of the House is forwarding her letter out to all concerned, rather than simply ignoring her.
