I was 21 and married, traveling from Granbury to Arlington, Texas with my spouse's parents furniture (given to us) and Air Force One and Air Force Two flew over my truck, flying from Carswell Air Force base to Dallas' Love Field, JFK's last day on earth.
Also, another "tidbit" ... I knew Jack Ruby who visited my workplace, many times, at The Dallas Times Herald, during the 60's.
At 19 (compliments of Jack Ruby) I visited, Ruby's Carousel Club, and watched the performance by (either) Bubbles Cash, or Candy Bar? ... I quickly walked out because of the number of "plain closed detectives" and/or "uniformed police officers" in attendance, plus I did not belong at a place like this ... not the way I was raised ...
The Dallas Deputy Sheriff that guarded Jack Ruby in his cell was my security guard years later.

There was a book on Candy Barr that came out a few years ago.
She died a recluse in Texas.
