His only real power is the power to occasionally make them squirm uncomfortably in their seats when the Parliament convenes in between bouts of implementing Sovietesque policies on the peopleS of Europe...

When the camera panned some of the other members, I didn't see much squirming.

Mostly they appeared to be taking a nap or just rolling their eyes.
