Most of them can’t say. It is Mittens Romney and rooting for him on FR is verbotten, as it should be. His small “Amen chorus” is at rightospeak and Hot Air, and it is outnumbered even there..
Yes, FRiend, I realize this and it ticks me off something fierce. But I'll keep asking because it usually gets them to shut up and stop posting their bile for awhile.
If enough of us keep asking maybe enough of them will go away that we'll catch a bit of a break. It's all just troll behavior. And it is cowardice.
We need a Paul Ryan figure to run in 2012. Redistricting will benefit republicans. Add in the fact we now hold states that went for Obama in 2008, we can pretty much run anyone and we should win the presidency.
Palin should start with something like CPAC. She would help conservatism by doing what she is doing.

What do you mean Palin should dial it back? Most of her exposure is due her enemies bashing her and then her response which nearly always makes them look ridiculous. And if you are saying she should not fight back, well, that is how we got into this mess to begin with, and its certainly not the life path of courage, integrity, and devotion to principles.
No, Sarah should do exactly what she IS doing, fighting like hell for the cause of conservatism while other conservatives sit around with their thumbs up their arses.
The milquetoast conservatives who trash Palin are rooting for Romney. And they’re cowards because they won’t even fess up for their support for Romney and RomneyCare. They’re cowards, just like Mitt.
I do believe that Charles is angry because the media aren’t bothering to attack the Mittster or even the Huckster.

Oh. You mean if Sarah Palin decides NOT to run. Because if she runs, no Paul Ryan figure or combination of Paul Ryan figures is going to stop her. And if you have one in mind that can beat her, I would like to know who it is. And exactly what his path the to the nomination would be. It is too late for the surprise candidate..
Paul Ryan will be duly considered for a cabinet post in Palin’s administration. He needs a little seasoning before he tries for the brass ring. His entire life experience has been as a staffer on Capitol Hill and a Congressman.

Sarah being in the public eye doesn’t stop them from opening up their mouths.

In a few short months, Mittens is going to have to dip his toe in the water; then they will come out of the closet. and they will have to defend his record of RomneyCare, $50 copay abortions, enabling gay marriage and the rest of his sorry legacy. Romney will wilt like a daisy under the withering fire he is going to receive.
Well she’s got a book AND a TV show out right now, so she’s peaking at the right time. By the time this campaign is through, it’ll be time for her to let us know her intentions for 2012. It’s going to be an interesting primary season.
Having watched what happened to Dan Quayle (I think he was a VP) I am not sure what the correct course is ...The media does not have the same power it had ...but it still has power.
Once a person has been Quayled it doesnt seem to go away

I just get a little exasperated at the talk that Palin can beat Obama. I’m pretty sure she could...BUT...I don’t think Obama will run. The question then becomes can Palin beat Hillary, and I don’t think so.
I’d like to see a fresh face, not someone who the “masses” have already formed an opinion about due to the media. Face it, most people have already made their minds up about Palin and nothing is going to change their minds, and I don’t think she has enough voters “on her side” to win, nor do I think she could sway enough voters to crossover and change their opinion of her and vote for her.
I’ll say this, she is getting better at interviews. The interview she did with Beck was very good. I found the whole “feminism” discussion interesting. But Glenn’s a friendly interviewer...most interviewers won’t give her a chance to make her point and thus change minds. It would be an uphill battle to overcome all the bad press, and they won’t lighten up. Of course they’ll dig up bad press on whomever runs, but with Palin, it’ll be new stuff and rehash.
Like I said, I’m for somebody “new” in the sense that not on the national Presidential scene in the past (no Romney, no Huckabee, etc.) seems to me to have a much better chance as the GOP candidate in the 2012 election.
It reminds me of how conservatives were pushing Obama due to fear of the Clintons.
