Rick Perry was applauded for his stands for state sovereignty on issues surrounding the border and on Obamacare. But few know or care) that Perry first passed a law allowing children of illegals to compete with others for in-state tuition rates if they successfully attended Texas government schools.

The point is not whether that wsa the right policy or not (it wasn’t), it is whether such things are equivalent to ceding “sovereignty”. It isn’t.

Part of national sovereignty is enforcement of borders and laws. If America is a nation with borders and laws, then it is sovereign. If it is a nation without borders, where laws are ignored - then it is not a nation of people and laws - but simply a place of employment and benefits freely available to all without regards to the law.

Huckabee is a complete non-starter. If brainpower were TNT this goober couldn't even blow his nose. He is soft on crime, soft on illegal immigration, and soft headed.

If the GOP nominates him, they will deserve electoral defeat.

Big Government liberalism with a Christian face is not conservatism.
