It’s hard for most rational people to understand the irrational hatred and vitriol that comes from the left.

These people just don’t dislike, THEY HATE, and they HATE with every fiber of their being. That many are willing to act on that hatred is even more frightening.

People like Rhodes are told by rich Democrats to hate rich people, while those same rich Democrats use that hatred to put even more money in their own pockets.

Air America Radio host Randi Rhodes is temporarily off the air, but cops and her lawyer say reports she was mugged near her Manhattan apartment were bogus.

A police source said Rhodes never filed a report and never claimed to be the victim of a mugging.

Rhodes' lawyer Robert Gaulin told the Daily News she was injured in a fall while walking her dog, but she wasn't sure exactly what happened.

"She did get injured. She's in pain and is recovering and looks forward to being back on the air Thursday," he said.

Rhodes appeared to have a cut lip when she was ushered to a car in front of her ritzy Park Ave. building Tuesday. She did not answer a reporter's questions.

Air America suspended Rhodes from the network on April 3, 2008 after an Air America affiliate, KKGN, event in San Francisco, California, where Rhodes said on March 22, 2008:

"Geraldine Ferraro turned out to be the David Duke in drag ... What a whore Geraldine Ferraro is! She's such a f*cking whore! I wanna see her have to stand beside her husband at one of those mandatory 'I have sinned against you; I'm a whore' kind of a press conference.
