Video from WESH NBC 2 Orlando FL: Black Florida Senator Siplin is tired of the bagging, sagging and sneak peeks at underwear around his community. He's doing something about it with his new billboard which reads: "No pants on the ground at school, pull you pants up to move up"!

As long as he paid for it, good on him. If it was tax-payer’s money, then not so much.

How many more criminals would get away from the cops if they wore belts? Holding your pants up slows down your getaway.

Kleiden machen leute. Clothes make the man.

Like it or not, people do categorize you by the first thing they see of you, which is your clothing, your hair, the way you walk, etc.

Some of the pants-on-the-ground kids are probably perfectly nice kids, but that’s not what people see.

I remember when my (white) teenaged son used to wear a bizarre heavy-metal leather jacket because he liked a particular band - and kept getting stopped and searched by the police on his way home from work. They always let him go because he wasn’t doing anything wrong or illegal, but he was annoyed that they stopped him in the first place. I told him that people go by what they see, and if you want to dress in a way that projects a certain image, you have to be ready to accept everything that goes with that image.

I think those saggy pants look about as cool as a swallow tailed straight jacket but as long as they are not showing their ass, then it is their business and right.

Do not be fooled. Siplin is a far-left, bribe-taking hardcore ghetto Dem just looking for his latest headline.

If it baggies ever became illegal, Siplin would the lead a movement to sue for discrimination.

Very wise words. As was taught by my parents back in the day, “You get ONE chance to make a first impression”!

The minute I saw this I knew this bills sponsor was a democrat probably in there forever. Gotta get his name in the paper so they’ll talk about him but avoiding the question wasting money on a silly piece of legislation on a fashion fad which in two years will pass as a dork identifer. What I’d wish states would do is itemize out what a pieces of legislati0on like this costs tax payers.
