You can probably hear the loudest hum of shredders working double time at the Department of Labor.

So where is your evidence to back up this claim?

“I want seven hearings a week, times 40 weeks,” Issa told CBS.

jWhy can't Republicans just do what should be done without boasting about it in advance? They give their opponents plenty of time to set up their defenses.

I remember when Bob Dole was running for President in 1996. He kept telling the media what he was going to do next. Of course it never worked out since Clinton used this advance warning to outfox him every time.

Soros and Obama support the "Open Society" concept, right? This is the most transparent regime which has ever ruled over us, right?

I'm sure they have nothing to hide.

The claim is based upon the democrat M.O.; namely, tell lies and cover your tracks, as evidenced by the actions of the DOL.

Anyway, he said “probably”.

It’s a poorly crafted article - the headline should have been a call for Issa to investigate the Labor Department, not conjecture about shredders.

Dammit, I hate being a Republican. We always have to show evidence when we make a claim. I’m switching to the Democrat party where I can say anything I dang well please and not have to worry about trivial things like evidence.

I’m curious, what kind of evidence are you in search of? I reported on some emails I saw that indicate that DOL is covering their tracks before Congress switches parties.

One item on the DOL plate is the periodic wage rate decsions by county that are done for the Davis-Bacon Wage Decisions for Federal construction and other construction falling in the Davis-Bacon guidelines.

In 2010 those rate went up 50% to 100% in a biannual review in some areas bending to union influence. These decisions normally take union and open shop wages into account and might go up 5% to 15% for a craft per year based upon reporting.

There has been some mighty costly increases for rural areas not normally subject to much union work being put in place that are now paying high wages as though they are part of union cities hundreds of miles away.

You don't drool enough. And you are able to read and write. And you're coherent. Any one of these attributes disqualifies you for Democrat Party membership. All three of them consign you to hanging with the Right Wing until dead.

So tell me how an email to not to delete emails is indicative of that? From your column:

DOL staff have already been warned about deleting emails and are expected to be going through an ethics briefing in the not to distant future.

You should have stuck with the basic story line about unfair enforcement by the DOL. Blogging is not a license for conjecture.

I thought you had something worthwhile you were wondering about.

In response to your first question, all I was saying is that they were warned not to do that because that is illegal. It doesn’t mean they aren’t doing that though.

Of course, no one in government EVER violates the rules.

I thought you had something worthwhile you were wondering about.

The fact that you feel no need to present a verifiable claim is what is noteworthy here.

In response to your first question, all I was saying is that they were warned not to do that because that is illegal. It doesn’t mean they aren’t doing that though.

It also doesn't mean they are, either. That razor cuts both ways. And since you are the one making the conjecture, the burden is up to you to prove it.

Of course, no one in government EVER violates the rules.

However, it would behoove you to present a stronger case than an email telling DOL employees to NOT delete emails. Shredding is in the same category of obstruction as deleteing emails. So what you present as proof actually contradicts your conjecture. Obstruction is actually a far easier matter to investigate and prosecute than bad policies.

You never clarified what sort of evidence you are looking for. Be specific, or quit complaining.

Whatever, Mary Mapes. She had the same cavalier attitude towards proof that you do.

“Why can’t Republicans just do what should be done without boasting about it in advance? They give their opponents plenty of time to set up their defenses. “

Because they are all on the same team, They are The Ruling Class. The Incumbent Ruling Class will never do anything substantial against any other member of the Ruling Class, that would be Suicide. Our only Hope is the Freshman Class. Which I see from another article here on FR, are already on the road to Corruption.

I’d much rather Issa haul the FCC in front of Congress and discuss “net neutrality” (and their attempt to force it on the rest of us). Second wish - Haul the EPA in front of Congress.

Labor can wait.

Haul in the DOJ as well. No shortage of investigations to keep Issa and Co. busy.

I pointed out that the email you cite does not support your claims. If you are too stupid to figure that out, so be it.

Oh, and blog pimps shouldn't go around calling others trolls, either.
