I’d have trouble putting it all on Sarah. (at this point, anyway)
which is why you would lose. At this stage Reagan was down 25pts to Carter. Palin has not even began to run a campaign yet. The media is still framing the debate on Palin. Palin is giving as good as she is getting at this stage keeping her numbers up. Once she engaes in a campaign her numbers will only go up.
the key of course is to understand that her numbers at this point in time are her low water mark. She has faced 2 yrs of non stop negative media. Mitt and huck and the rest’s numbers are at the high water mark. theirs will go down as they engage. Whereas Palin’s will go up. By the first primary the nonskewed polls will show all of them tied at beating Obama....
Its not about whether I would lose. But, whether she can actually win a national election after coming from being a successful politician that no one ever heard of, then to VP candidate, then energizer of a national movement, then reality show star and the focus of all the hatred the media can muster.
Before Palin the GOP elite like Mitt and Jeb were talking about it being time to move beyond Reagan. Many of those GOP elites that thought that did not make it past the primaries thanks to Palin. By the time people were going to the polls, Palin’s message of small limited common sense conservatism was what voters were voting for and Palin made sure to paint Obama as the socialist he is. and guess what Palin and her message cleaned up on Nov 2. So her message can win.
If you think the media will only attack Palin with hatred you have not been paying attention. All the hate the left/media had for Bush was transferred to PAlin in a blink of an eye. And If they manage to take Palin down then all the hate directed at her will be transferred to the next GOP leader. It has been so since Ike.
If Palin can't win no other candidate can win. She is the one that brings the money, the crowds, the willingness to volunteer. No other GOP candidate had those pluses. If it's not Palin Obama and his machine will roll-over the moderate squish that the GOP puts up just like he did in 2008.
Palin at this point in time is the only GOp candidate that can beat Obama.
I looked over the horizon and saw nothing that has what the lady from the north has. The press can try but if you will notice they have tried and it only made her stronger. People are beginning to see through the liberal bias of the press and are ignoring it. I wish her all the best.
