I am not an economist, a banker etc but I understand the fed bond values are tanking due to the massive federal debt. Other countries sooner than later will stop buying US bonds, only a fool would buy them in the current economic climate. If the US dollar has no intrinsic value neither will the US bonds. Again, on a business as usual basis, how will the government continue to operate if they have no or not enough revenue? Answer, our gubment will need to nationalize the federal debt thus declaring the USA bankrupt, or support the bond values with hard assets; i.e. real estate, our energy resources and so on. I understand that Russia will soon take control of an American uranium mine, so maybe the transfer of assets has already started. I don't think we are indebted to Russia so I don't know why this administration agreed to do that. Maybe someone can chime in and educate me on that issue. From where I sit, keeping our powder dry may be a good idea.

The Russians might just demand Alaska back as settlement. And... with Palin from Alaska, Obama might just give it to them.... Talk about "foreign born" and stroke of the pen... law of the land! Palin had better move to Texas, fast!
