My youngest brother has Down’s Syndrome. He will be 40 years old on January 9th. (I hate to see that happen because I was 19 when he was born LOL).
He has brought our family much joy and happiness as only a Down’s Syndrome HUMAN BEING is capable of doing.
We are trying to overwhelm him with birthday greetings. If any of you could help out with a birthday card, Freepmail me and I’ll provide his address.
HEY that Law and Order first DA Ben Stone I remember him
I think I love this guy.
I think I can safely say Sarah can count on his vote.
Mr. Moriarity’s understanding of the pivotal issue of abortion for our nation is EXCELLENT!
Michael Moriarty is a really interesting guy and a great actor. He is more libertarian and also smart.
He moved to Canada, I think because he spoke out against Janet Reno (and Hillary’s) mass murder at Waco. I think he was really concerned after that.
Krauthammer’s a bit arrogant and slides over to the liberal side on some social issues, such as homosexual perverts getting married and serving openly in the military, and abortion. In his own words, he says, (regarding perverts in the service), “if it was going to happen anyway, and it was, why not now? Our culture has changed, and that’s just the way it is”. He also thinks 20 million Mexican criminal invaders should be given amnesty and citizenship, and he occassionally goes along with some of Obama’s spending sprees. I used to love the guy, but he’s lost it. He’s been “inside the beltway” so long now he can no longer see or believe that anything exists outside of politics. I certainly don’t know this, but I get the feeling the “Hammer” is a proud atheist, which explains why he floats this way and that way along with the tide of political and cultural changes.
Except that Mr. Obama is not descended from North American slaves, in any way, shape or form if his father is Barack Hussein Muhamed Obama, Senior.
Obama is more closely related to the slave TRADERS. Incidentally, why do we never hear about the slave trade that still exists on the African continent and the Middle East?
Considering that Krauthammer wrote speeches for Mondale when he was running against Ronald Reagan it’s never a surprise to find Krauthammer getting in touch with his inner liberal.
Ping!
Ahhhh....a blast from the past! This guy was great on Law & Order! I recall he left the show because he simply couldn’t be a party to the progressive lefty agenda of NBC.
Anyway, well-written piece that nails it. Bravo to him & thanks to you for the post
Bless you & your brother.
After I was pregnant w/ my daughter, my ex confessed to me that he & his first wife terminated a pregnancy in the second trimester after learning the baby had Down Syndrome. I’ve been heart- sick about his decision since he told me about it 4 years ago. I pray God & that child forgive him. Lucky for my little girl, she has a sibling in heaven who I’m sure is with her.
The devil, that being The Satan, as described in the books of Genesis and Job, is just another aspect of G-d, Himself. When our G-d takes on an role of the prosecutor, a prosecutor of extended functions including what seems to be entrapment, but is just a another way of developing the soul by exceptionally difficult tests.
It is interesting that the author places the decisions of Roe v Wade and Dred Scott at an equal level. Scott was not condemned to death, just to being sub-human of lesser rights. It may be that Roe v Wade causes the greater harm — Dred Scott was fiercely and logically reasoned. Horrible and fatally flawed. Flawed of the logic from the claim of fact that the Founders held that black men were lesser humans. Otherwise the logic was sound.
Yet Roe v Wade was a whole invention of fantasy, and leads to Hells without limit from being a precedent in Law. It results in a a far worse outcome when stare decisis works its gangrene of evil decay in rulings following its logic. Or rather non-logic. Roe v Wade’s fantasies are not logical, and it marks a point where American Law became untied from sanity, and deadly as well. For its decision leads to a chain of legal rulings each down the line of saying that some fellow humans may be killed for convenience, cost savings — and will come be for political whimsy.
That is may G-d by unwilling to let us fall that far into mad insanity in Law, but we are so close ...
“The opposite of truth is not untruth, but reason.”
That was in quotes. Does anyone know who said that?
BOOKMARKING.
God bless Michael Moriarty.
I had a chance recently to rewatch Holocaust, where he played Major Dorf. It was an amazing performance.
Hi Tina!
Just pinged Sarah’s List to this wonderful article by Michael Moriarty!
